Plastic Suspended Ceilings and Debris Barriers

Plastic Ceiling panels are used to provide thermal insulation, for aesthetic purposes to conceal construction features such as ducts and sprinkler piping, and for sound control.  Debris barriers are used to protect occupancies from debris during reroof applications. The FM Approval standard sets the performance requirements of plastic suspended ceiling panels and debris barriers to ensure their ability to melt-out or drop-out during a fire scenario.  This will allow prompt and unobstructed sprinkler water flow in the event of a fire.
