FM Approvals has been informed by Rice Lake Weighing Systems of a concern associated with their IS6V2 Battery Module that is FM Approved as intrinsically safe for Hazardous Locations in the US and Canada. The module is FM Approved for use with Enersys Type NP10-6 batteries. It was identified that a small quantity of modules, manufactured between 12 December 2025 and 21 January 2026 have been fitted with the Enersys Type NP12-6 battery, which is not covered by the FM Approval and has not been assessed for use in Hazardous Locations.
