Hazard Involved
During routine testing of a CFP9E engine, the test model failed to recover to its rated speed. The problem was traced to a pressure relief valve in the fuel rail. There have been no field issues reported to Cummins or FM Approvals, however, Cummins will make appropriate replacement parts available for any location that has a CFP9E driver currently installed.
