FM Approvals has been made aware of products fitted with a non-compliant enclosure which may not meet the required water ingress protection rating of IP 66 and Type 4X when used in outdoor locations.  See attached Product Alert CFR-15J-L06 issued by Yokogawa.

PH450G, SC450G, ISC450G models manufactured from April 7, 2015 to May 29, 2015. 

Make/Model

PH450G: pH and Redox converter
SC450G: Conductivity/Resistivity converter
ISC450G: Inductive Conductivity converter

Hazard Involved

The products identified may not provide a sufficient enclosure ingress protection when used in outdoor locations.  Until modified the affected product enclosures are no longer FM Approved as IP66, Type 4X in accordance with the label markings and may not be suitable for use in outdoor areas.  Use of the affected products in outdoor areas could result in a potential unsafe ingress of water.  The affected Products must be modified or replaced as described in Yokogawa document CFR-15J-L06.

The attached notice was sent to all customers who have units covered under this product safety notification.
