Walls and Ceilings for Smoke Sensitive Occupancies

In specific manufacturing and storage applications, smoke, even in the smallest quantities, can cause major issues. Walls and ceilings certified by FM Approvals for smoke sensitive occupancies are specifically designed for occupancies where smoke contamination is problematic. The FM Approvals maintains two levels of certification. The highest level allows the products to be utilized in:

• cleanrooms (or similar occupancies)
• pharmaceutical manufacturing and storage areas (or similar occupancies)
• food preparation and storage areas (or similar occupancies)

The lower level of certification includes all of the occupancies above with the exception of cleanrooms or similar occupancies.
