FM Approvals has been notified by Detector Electronics, LLC of a potential safety issue with the Eagle Quantum Premier (EQP) Enhanced X3301 Multispectrum Infrared (IR) Flame Detector manufactured between September 2023 and July 2025, which may create a risk for property damage, personal injury, or death.  A copy of the Detector Electronics, LLC Product Safety Notice is attached for your reference.

Hazard Involved: FM Approvals has been notified by Detector Electronics, LLC that Eagle Quantum Premier (EQP) Enhanced X3301 Multispectrum Infrared (IR) Flame Detectors manufactured between September 2023 and July 2025, that are configured in the field, may revert to default settings without notice if the associated software/firmware compatibility guidelines and configuration settings for the product are not followed correctly. This issue may lead to unintended consequences including possible initiation of fire suppression systems (e.g., foam release). 

The attached Product Safety Notice and product bulletin are being sent to provide directions to customers in possession of one or more of these units. Please follow the instructions as indicated in this notice.
