A Product Alert may result from any of the following occurrences:
- A Notification of Concern (NoC) identifying suspect counterfeit products or other misrepresentations of FM Approvals certified products which could have a significant impact on property loss prevention;
- A Loss Prevention Equipment form reporting FM Approved product performance issues that could have a significant impact on property loss prevention;
- Any FM Approved product issue as required by FM Approval’s accreditation organizations;*
- Any other circumstance when FM Approvals becomes aware of an FM Approved product failing to perform as intended. The source for reporting includes but is not limited to quality audits, AHJ reports, and manufacturers’ notifications.
